There were so many shells! The villagers harvest and cook them then seperate the flesh from the shells which they leave at the shore. They were so beautiful to look at with hues of blue to purple. I hope they find a way to make use of the discarded shells. So many of them, and they just go to waste. So many water lillies too, lavander colored water lillies. A friend of mine who is a local in Bato said they introduced to the locals how to process the lilly leaves and weave them into bags and baskets. An additional source of job and income for the villagers. Some kinds of fish still thrive in the water like the shells. So many beautiful things. But you bet there are also many ugly human stuff around and in the lake. The creek coming from the village houses with used dirty water goes right into the lake. Sometimes their trashbins go right into the lake also. Im assuming some people'sshit and piss go into the lake though i havent have the luck to have stepped on one yet(At my home town's beach you can get a plenty). They say once there were so many fish in the lake and the shore was white with sand. I could only imagine. I dont think it's possible again to see that kind of beauty there was once at lake Bato. What can I do? What can we do?
